Dash Cam Roundup by Dallas Law Firm Staff

Dash cams are not entirely new. In fact, they have been around for about 40 years. Law enforcement officers began using them in the early 80s to capture video evidence while out in their patrol cars.

Since then, the dashboard camera has grown steadily in popularity and the last decade has seen sales enjoy a huge boost for various reasons. According toGrand View Research, the global dash cam market was valued at USD 2.8 billion in 2019 with over 36 million units being sold.

What are dash cams and what do they do?

Dash cams are digital video recorders that are mounted inside a car’s windshield and their purpose is to record visual and audio footage from the front, and sometimes the back of the car.

As a driver,if you are involved in a collision that wasn’t your fault,it can be extremely difficult to exonerate yourself from blame,so many vehicle users have taken to installing dash cams as a precautionary measure. As we all know, insurance claims can mean big increases to premiums, which is even more frustrating when you know that you’re completely innocent.

And this is the biggest reason that the staff atThe Barber Law Firm have become more and more interested in this tech trend and have put together this list of 5 dash cams that you might consider using to defend your rights after an accident. To highlight the reality of this, take a look at this recent recording from a Dallas driver’s read dash cam:

The driver in the video above did not have a front plate, but after passing, the front dash cam was able to capture a picture of the rear plate. Regardless, the video evidence was enough to keep the driver from getting away with the hit and run.

According to The Barber Law Firm, attorneys typically have a much easier time and can even get to settlement faster when a case has a dash cam video behind it. While these cameras generally provide evidence of accidents that occur on the road, they can also have some other unexpected benefits:

  • Insurance companies use the dash cam recordings to resolve accident disputes in the case of both parties denying responsibility.
  • Prevention against fraud when somebody tries to claim for injury and the driver denies the event ever occurred.
  • Aggressive and antisocial behavior from other road users caught on camera can be passed on to the police.
  • Parents of young drivers can remotely view how their children are driving to give them peace of mind.
  • Dash cams in commercial fleets use GPS to track a driver’s whereabouts.
  • Stolen vehicles can be located thanks to the dashboard camera images being uploaded to the cloud.

In-car cameras come with various features and the price tags fluctuate vastly,so it’s not always easy to know which one to choose. Let’s take a look at 5 of the best dash cams available for 2020.

Nextbase,622GW

Seen as one of the most advanced cams available on the market, but it comes at a price.

The Nextbase 622GW provides excellent 4K video quality with a 140-degree viewing angle,GPS tracking, and MicroSD card slot.

Techradar gives this model a 5-star review saying that it had “built-in polarizing filter, image stabilization,4K video resolution, and excellent Night Vision.” However,it was also noted that the unit is quite bulky, the mobile app is quite frustrating, and that the rear camera requires wiring.

Most of the expert reviews rate the 622G between 4 and 5 stars, and it is available to buy for around $400.

Garmin,Dash Cam 66W

Plenty of features and a solid manufacturer reputation makes this cam a great choice for a first-timer.

It boasts 1440p video quality,a huge 180-degree capture angle,GPS tracking,and a compact design.

Best Buy,at the time of writing, presents 4.5 out of 5 stars from 30 reviews for the 66W,and trusted industry review sites are of the same opinion. Most users said that it provided excellent footage for the price point, but others mentioned that glare was an issue as the unit doesn’t come with a filter as standard.

Prices are around $250.

Kenwood DRV-830

Full HD recording,144-degree viewing angle,GPS tracker, and both internal and external storage options for a very reasonable price.

Kenwood has a fantastic reputation as a tech producer and it seems that their dash cams live up to expectation. They’ve added everything you need and more into the user experience, but this seems to have led to the menu screens being quite difficult to navigate. Sometimes less is more as they say.

Trusted Reviews gave a 4-star rating and said that the DRV-830 is “A feature-packed and well-priced dash cam but video quality could be better.”

Price: $100.

Thinkware,TW-F770

180p full HD video,140-degree angle,GPS tracking,and both internal/external storage included.

The unit is slightly different from other cams as it doesn’t feature any external display. Everything is controlled via your mobile which makes configuration nice and simple. Unfortunately, the buttons on the unit that you need to push to connect the device seem to be quite fiddly.

PC World stated that “It’s one of the most advanced models we’ve seen (and it’s also one of the more expensive ones).”

The TW-F770 is available for around $300.

BlackVue,DR900S-2CH

For some of the best video quality available from any dash cam on the market today, you will want to take a look at the DR900S-2CH.

It features 4K Ultra HD image quality,162-degree angle,GPS tracking, speed data, and fast image transfers.

The Dashcam Store reviewed the product and concluded that “We have to wonder if this is the best possible discreet dual lens dash cam on the market today.”

Techradar noted that it was “irritating to install” and some amazon buyers have mentioned manufacturing issues that were causing some problems in the past.

The BlackVue DR900S-2CH costs around $400.

There are many makes and models to choose from, and the range of features, picture quality, functionality, and price will all play a determining role when shopping for a dashboard camera. Yes,the range is vast, but with a little research, you can easily find the one that fits your needs.

What is Orthodoxy?

The word orthodox is a combination of the Greek words “orthos” (ορθός) true, proper and “doxa” (δόξα, δοξασία) faith. It is generally used in two ways and its full meaning is Right Faith.

THE RIGHT ROUTE

In the New Testament, when the apostles wanted to make some decisions and laws among themselves in the work of the Acts, this decision was made with the help of the Holy Spirit. That is why the decisions start with the following text. “It was decided by the Holy Spirit and by us ..” These meetings were on the throne of the Holy Spirit. 2000 years have passed, but this tradition in the church continues as it is and holy meetings are held. The structure of this church has remained unadulterated as it is today.

Every patriarchate makes this order by calling all its episcopes. In a universal decision, all patriarchats are gathered in the Istanbul ecumenical, the head patriarchate, and the decisions are made through the Holy Spirit. St. Paul appointed the most prominent and religious person of that region as an episcopal for believers in every region. For example, Timoteus appointed Efeste Titus to Crete. Thus, there was an episcopus in each region and this person was responsible for the believers of that region. This system is different in the catholic world, they are under the Pope rule, their catholics and churches all over the world. However, in Orthodoxy this is more democratic. Every church, every patriarchate has a holy council. The episcopes who formed this council come together to become councils.

Church Extensions

The Patriarchats are divided into local and general administrations. Patriarchate takes over the general administration, and local administrations are assigned a mitropolit, an episkopos in each region. This mitropolit assigns a pastor to each congregation according to the population of the congregation in its region. Depending on the size of this congregation, it can be appointed in assistant priests. This form of government was initiated by Saint Pavlos, and we maintain it in the same system for two thousand years. “You will go to Giritt and put an old pastor in every region, this person must be right in God’s eyes.” (Titus 1: 5).

There is a congregation council or a board called the board in order for the church administration to join the congregation and report its wishes and suggestions. This board is established with believers selected from each church’s own community. Apart from that, the church runs to the aid of all the needy believers, pays attention to their needs and meets their spiritual service in all other believers.
With the rituals and prayers, every congregation tries to get closer to God. This is the first and most important foundation of church activities. For this purpose, because of the purpose of salvation, for some sick or believing siblings, the church sends pastors to the houses and gives them communion and feeds them spiritually. In addition, at certain times each year, priests move around all the houses and perform their blessing duties. The church builds schools and dormitories to protect all poor and lonely believers, according to their own situation. These schools and dormitories are sometimes supported by wealthy businessmen, but often the church establishes them with its own means and with the help of all other foreign churches and trains and educates the children of its own community.

What is a Great Religion?

I only believe in Allah. I believe in all-powerful Father God, the creator of earth and heaven, all visible and invisible beings. I believe in Christ Jesus, the only Son of God, who was born from Father before all centuries. He is Allah from Allah, Nur from Nur, true from God. It is not created, it is in the same essence as Father, and everything is created through it. For us and our salvation, he came down from heaven, with the power of the Holy Spirit, he took the body from the virgin Mary and became human. During the time of Pontius Pilate, it was crucified for us, crucified, died, buried, and resurrected on the third day according to the Scriptures. He climbs into the sky and sits to the right of the Father. He will come back with glory to judge the living and the dead and his reign will not end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the source of life and the Lord, who has spoken through the Prophets, exited Father, worshiped and glorified with Father and Son. I believe in the only Church, the messenger, universal and sacred. I accept a single baptism to forgive sins. I expect the resurrection and eternal life of the dead. Amine

I BELIEVE IN A SINGLE GOD. Our faith was prepared in the first and second sinods, in councils (Iznik 325 and Istanbul 381), by the saints and fathers of the church through the Holy Spirit, and our faith today is written. The first article, “I Believe in One God,” invites us to believe in God and to worship Him alone. However, the believer is invited not only to the existence of God, but to the belief that the creator of all visible and invisible beings is God. Everything and every being is created by God through Christ. ‘Nothing existed without Him’. However, as in every society and in every era, the devil has rolled up his arms and made some people think and slave them to him. These people are arrogant, only earthly, distant and unkind people who believe in material things. If we need to answer these people, it should be as follows.

  1. There is a universe around us. There wasn’t any substance that had millions of planets in it, and, according to science, was once the creator and source of everything. So who created these celestial bodies and the whole world, working so perfectly. Who can do this if the substance can extend for a while, if it cannot be explained afterwards. Who had this power and technology so many million years ago? Of course, the Lord of Allah is all-powerful. According to the prophet David, ‘He spoke and everything was formed, ordered and beings were created.’
  2. The names of science have an opinion based on real logic, even according to physicists, that a substance cannot act spontaneously, but if it is activated by another power, it does not stop spontaneously unless there is another obstacle in front of it. If this is really so, when we look at the infinite space system, we see that there are billions of stars, planets and celestial bodies and that they move in a certain harmony. How come all these objects do not collide among themselves and do not cause a disaster. Who set up this whole order and keeps it intact? From here, only God’s answer comes to our mind.
  3. Let’s not go too far: The earth is full of living organisms. Some of these are visible and some are invisible small creatures. However, billions of people live. According to scientists’ knowledge, the earth was once burning like an oven. At that time, there was no living thing on earth. So how did life derive from this oven, where there was so much heat? For this, your scholar Fleming says: “Life has come from a creator, not spontaneously.”
  4. Although ourselves and our body are a great secret, it is perfect. When we examine the human body, we see that it works within the perfect system of the heart, eyes, ears, hands, nervous systems, immune systems and so on. Who can create this perfectly working body so perfectly? The answer is only Allah Almighty in everything. One unconscious priestess said, “Where is God, I can’t see Him?” The priest replied to that man, “You cannot see atoms or cells, but you believe them.” Then the man asked him to look at the sun with the naked eye, “I can’t look because my eyes hurt,” he said. The priest then replied to him, “How can you see God if you cannot look at something created?” David, the great poet and prophet, and Aristotle, a great philosopher, described people who did not believe in God as insane. Only one of the above examples can one believe in God. Here we are talking about the God believed by the Christian orthodox. So I only believe in Allah.
